I would just like to say how impressed I was on my recent trip to NYC with the driver Al and our tour director Carole Hartley. Both very professional, courteous, humorous and a lot of fun to be with. They made the long drive most comfortable with little stories and lots of pit stops.
Al – what can we say about Al, except, he is one of the best bus drivers ever. Being able to maneuver the bus in those tight New York streets with cars, delivery trucks and bicycles on either side, along with pedestrians darting out in front of him. I believe he has not only eyes in the back of his head but eyes by each ear too! I think in one of his previous lives, he must have been a race car driver in order to drive in that hectic city! He was amazing, patient, helpful and genuine, a very great guy and hope to have him again as our driver for my next adventure to maybe Chicago, Washington or Boston.
Carole is very knowledgeable and goes out of her way to remember everyone’s name and addresses them accordingly. She loves telling stories of her previous experiences and most of them are very funny and also very informative by way of giving a few pointers when visiting a new city. Carole speaks different languages and helps her guests if they have difficulty understanding her instructions for drop off and pick up points. She also helps other travel agents who may be on the same walking tour as us by exchanging tips or helping with translations. I love the flag that she carries to ensure that everyone can see her petite frame, when she wants us to congregate. Carole is like a Mother Hen, making sure her little chicks are all accounted for when out on these tours. Her sparkling personality is a delight and would not hesitate to travel with her again in the future.-Patty

My wife Joan were on the Comfort Tour trip to NY city June 15-18th.
I have to tell you that we had a real nice time. Our tour guide Carol and driver AL done everything they could do to make the trip an enjoyable experience. Please thank them both on behalf of Joan and I.

My sister and I had a wonderful time in Washington with our tour director Natasha. She kept us all entertained during the bus ride with lots of informational DVD's about Washington and lots of jokes and anecdotes. We also had a wonderful driver(Peggy) who was amazing on the road. The weather was beautiful with lots of sunshine. -Salima

My and I thoughly enjoyed our trip to New York City. It was an experience we'll never forget. Eliane was fantastic. She is very knowledgeable about everything that we saw and as well she made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Al the coach driver amazed us on how well he maneuvered that bus through Manhattan especially around Times Square. Even our city guide Hardee was great. We learned alot from him.
We would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience what New York city has to offer.

We had an amazing trip, and it met all of our expectations.
Our driver, Al, did an awesome job. When there were traffic issues on the way there, he knew exactly how to bypass and get around them so that we stayed on schedule. Traffic in New York is insane! I wouldn’t want to drive a car there, let alone a bus, but Al was awesome. He maneuvered that bus like it was nothing for him. There were so many tight turns, but his expertise was outstanding. We were so impressed. (My husband is licensed to drive a bus, so if he was impressed, you knew Al was doing an amazing job.) And we never got on or off the bus without a smile and pleasant comment from Al. I’d be happy to ride with him on any future trip.
Our guide Eliane, was so organized, upbeat and patient, and anticipated our needs. She definitely knew what she was doing and everything ran smoothly. We felt safe in her care. Like a mother, she gave us pointers and coaching, and made sure we were aware of things to do, and not to do on our travels and free time. She pointed out so many sights on our bus tour, provided excellent recommendations for our free time, and was very accommodating. She was able to answer all of our questions, and instinctively knew the interests and limitations of the individuals so that she could make excellent recommendations with detailed instructions so that we could make the most out of our trip. She checked on us often, and even managed to capture some nice pictures of us, yet she was never intrusive. By the end of the trip, she felt like a real friend/family, and it was difficult to say goodbye to her. I really hope that we have the opportunity to have her as our guide on a future trip.
The hotel was lovely. It was in a good location within easy walking distance to the train station, restaurants and amenities. The lobby is clean, and we enjoyed the band playing in the bar the night we arrived. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable with soft sheets and lots of pillows. And the breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve been to, with so many options. We loved the coffee in the to go cups, set up in the lobby in the morning. J
The trip was a good balance of touring and free time. We were able to see more than we ever thought possible in one trip.
