What our passengers are saying?
Good Morning:
I just wanted to let you know that my sister (Evelyn Ross) and I very much enjoyed our
weekend in New York City. Your employees Pam and Ken went beyond the "call of duty".
Ken is an amazing driver and we went through extremely
bad weather conditions between fog, rain and hail on the way down and wind, snow,
sleet on Saturday.Pam was absolutely fantastic. She has a great sense of humour and
kept things pleasant and fun...despite the weather!
Throughout the entire process both Ken and Pam were very professional and accommodating.
Pam was very well organized and we were well looked after!
We look forward to our next trip in the Spring (likely Washington) and certainly hope that
Ken and Pam will be there.
Please express our thanks to Pam and Ken once again!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Reid
Hello,
In response to your email please find below my feedback.
We have taken 2 tours with Comfort Travel: 4-day tour to New York and 3-day
tour Montreal-Quebec-Ottawa.
1. New York Tour:
The tour was brilliantly organised and we really enjoyed it. The tour guide
Eliane and driver Ken were both highly professional and thanks to them we
loved every minute of the tour. The tour is well structured, the stops are
cleverly planned. In addition to the bus tour of Manhattan there are many
stops with the guided tour on foot and you are given plenty of time to explore
the city on your own in the afternoon. The hotel in New Brunswick was OK,
included breakfast was certainly an advantage. Eliane is very knowledgeable
and friendly. She has not only told us about and pointed out interesting sites
and historical facts but was also excellent in regards to "housekeeping" issues.
Everything down to the last detail was carefully explained and thanks to that
we never had anyone late or lost, we all knew exactly how much time we had
to explore any particular site, people who wanted to stay in town late and
come back to the hotel on their own were given maps and detailed instructions.
Ken, our driver, did a magnificent job driving through crazy Manhattan traffic
and miraculously bringing us everywhere on time. He also made sure that by
the time the group was ready to board the bus the airconditioning was on.
Overall the tour was great. Thanks a lot to Eliane and Ken.
2. Montreal Quebec Ottawa
We took this tour a week after we took a tour to New York. The tour was with
guide Rena and driver Brian. The tour structure was a little disappointing.
Although we stayed in Montreal (good hotel but included breakfast would
have been an advantage) we hardly saw this city. Apart from a quick bus tour
with just 2 short stops we did not see much of Montreal. The bus can't go
through the old city (streets are too narrow) and thus you are mainly shown
the McGill University, stadium and sites related to Montreal Expo 1967 (all
from the bus). It was a pity to pass magnificent churches and old buildings
on full speed while listening to the endless stories about mishaps with the
constuction of the olympic stadium. Despite being very tired in the evening
we walked down to the old city and at least could see the beautiful
european-looking streets bustling with night life: shops were open, street
performers all out there, cafes and restaurants full of people.
Trip to Quebec-City was better. We mostly had a tour on foot with a good
local guide and after that were given 3 hours to explore Quebec-city on
our own. Fantastic place. In beautiful Ottawa we had both bus and on-foot
tours although we did not have any time to explore on our own. We were
only given 1 hour and that included lunch. A boat trip to 1000 islands was
very good. Although the visited cities were beautiful this tour overall was
not as good as the one to New-York. The trip was not as well organsed
and one extra day to see Montreal would be beneficial. At the small
sightseeing stops Rena did not specify by what time we should be back on
the bus and thus people took their time and we were behind the schedule.
Brian (the driver) prefered to turn on the airconditioner only after everyone
was back on the bus which was uncomfortable.
In short, the trip would have been excellent if we could see more of old
Montreal and have it a bit better organised.
Kind regards,
Anna
Our trip to Chicago was great. Chicago itself is a beautiful city. Natasha, our guide, was
incredibly well organized and looked after myriad little details and Gregg, our driver, was
an absolute genius behind the wheel. He could thread his way thru small neighbourhood
streets, horrid traffic jams and also found his way to where he was going in spite of the
fact that there were about a million extra people in Chicago because of the marathon,
with road closures every time he turned around. My husband and I had gone to Chicago
to watch the marathon and Natasha managed to organize a bus pick up place for us as
well as for another couple who had dinner with friends.
Unfortunately, the one big problem was the bus - it was very difficult to get comfortable -
the seats just did not have enough wiggle room, although we did stop regularly to stretch, etc.
Thank you for a good experience.
This was the first bus tour we have taken and we thoroughly enjoyed it. New York was
certainly a busy, noisy, crowded place, but we were glad to see a lot of the sites, even
if it was for just a short time. We now know what we would like to visit again if we return
to Manhatten. We still can't figure out how John could manover that bus all over the city!!!
Remarkable job the entire trip. Carol looked after everyone as if she was, as she put it,
a "mother hen". She has quite the tales to tell of her years of experience in the travel
industry. I commend her for such a difficult task of keeping a bus load of people
comfortable, on time, organized, the list goes on and on. I think the only drawback
was travelling on the long week-end. The border was way too long of a wait which
of course no one can control.
We will certainly consider another bus trip with your company in the future and
recommend your tours to our friends.
All in all a great trip,
Regards,
Ron & Winona Kearn
My daughter and I have just returned from New York City tour with Comfort Tours and
a fantastic tour guide Eliane Delettre.
We have been on tours with different companies ie Globus to England, Ireland,
Scotland and Senior Tours to Cape Cod.
I can say without exception that Eliane has been the best guide, hostess and caretaker
of all. She is extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and very caring of all of us in her
"custody" for the few days. Coupled with Greg, the bus driver's skill and patience they
made a fantastic host and hostess. I sincerely hope that you recongnize them as
extremely valuable assets to your company.
