 ‘The Art of Video Games’ , at the Smithsonian American Art Museum is now open.

This is the first major exhibition exploring the forty-year + evolution of the video game.

 

Designers and players from around the world were invited to vote online for the games they wanted in this exhibit..

There were 240 nominees.The 80 games receiving the most on-line votes are included.

 

 ‘The Art of Video Games’ traces the history of the games from the simple but addictive graphics of Pac-Man to the experience of Chen 2009 flower. 

Five influential and classical titles in this exhibit include Pac-Man, Super Mario brothers, The Secret of Monkey Island, Myst and World of Warcraft.

Come to play and gain insight into video art.
