Celebrating New Years in New York is always an exciting experience. With all the flashing lights, performers and the traditional ball drop, makes New York the perfect place to celebrate the New Year with a bang. Celebrate the next New Year in New York with a tour from Comfort Tour! On the 4-day tour you get a chance to experience the best that New York has to offer and a chance to celebrate New Years at time square.

How it all Began

Since 1904, New Years has been celebrated on Times Square. Originally the first celebrations was a duo celebration, one for the New Year and the other for the opening of the headquarters of The New York Times newspaper. Due to the success of this first celebration, it has become yearly tradition to celebrate New Years on Times Square.

In 1907, the time ball was introduced to Times Square. Originally time balls were made to help signal nearby ships and captains to set their navigational equipment, although this is not the purpose of the New York Time Ball. This ball was made when fireworks were banned in New York as a replacement to celebrate the New Year. The Ball has been changed several times since 1907 and now has been redecorated with Waterford Crystals. The ball has over 2,ooo crystal, each crystal being in the shape of a triangle and with a design. Today, people still come to Time Square to celebrate the new year. Ditch the TV broadcasting of this event and come see it live! Comfort Tour offers a 4-day trip to New York on New Years. Book your trip today at and receive $10 off your online booking!
