Things to do in New York

Visit ROCKEFELLER CENTER – Site of the famous golden Prometheus Statue and Skating Rink. Between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, 48th to 50th Streets.  Many cafes & attractions in/near Rockefeller Ctr. including TOP OF THE ROCK.  It is an easier alternative to the Empire State Building, same great views.  No long waits in the street to take the elevator up. Entrance on 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Adults $23, seniors $19.

TIMES SQUARE, NYC’s Famous Intersection   42ND St. To 47th St. along Broadway and 7th Avenue, best to see this place at night for the “bright lights of Broadway”.

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, 34th Street & Fifth Avenue, frequent  long line-ups, waiting in the street.

TENEMENT MUSEUM, 108 Orchard St (between Broome St. & Delancey St) Lower East Side

MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd St.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY Open 10 a.m. to 5:45 pm, great for kids, 79th Street & Central Park West

GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM  Fifth Ave. & 88th St.
