Hello! I just wanted to send an e-mail to say what a fabulous time my family had last weekend on our bus tour of Boston and Cape Cod! This was a 40th birthday surprise trip for me from my family and it certainly was very memorable! Having never been to Boston before I was certainly looking forward to it and it certainly exceeded my expectations. Our guide was Pam Cook and she was exceptional! She was always looking out for our best interests and she went out of her way to make sure we were all having a good time. She provided us with interesting information about the areas that we were driving through. She also provided puzzles, showed us movies and played games with us during the trip down and back. I had brought along a book to read on what I thought would be a long drive down and back but it turns out I did not use it at all! Pam entertained us pretty well the whole way. The drive down and back "flew by" because of her! She has a wonderful sense of humour and she was also very kind and caring to my two kids. She asked us before showing a movie that she thought might be inappropriate for our kids (just a little violence). She was like a grandmother to them! Thank you very much! Pam also made my birthday celebration on the Saturday of the trip very special by having the people in the bus and the restaurant sing "Happy Birthday" to me! I also must thank our bus driver Ken whom I felt very safe with the whole time. He was a wonderful driver and also provided some humorous jokes and stories along the way! Thank you Ken! My family really enjoyed the city of Boston and Cape Cod. Enough time was provided at each stop to see the sights before moving on. The tour in Boston was informative and covered most of the major sites in Boston and Cape Cod. Allowing us to have some free time to wander on our own is also very good! The arranged get-together for dinner at No-Name Seafood on Saturday night was also very delicious and fun! If I had to really be picky and come up with a few things that could be changed for next time here they are: 1. I was satisfied with the breakfast at the hotel but my wife wishes there was a bit more of a selection. They did not provide toast and sliced fruit. It was adequate but not like the breakfast that we had at the hotel in New York when we went last year. 2. I would like to have seen Fenway Park! Being a sports fan I wish we had made a brief stop at Fenway or at least driven past it. That is the only thing I missed. 3. I wish the pick-up time at the end of the day after our "free time" was an hour or two later. Instead of 8pm, I think it should be changed to 9 or 10pm. This would give us a little bit longer to see some of the sights on our own. 4. Our tour guide (John?) in Boston was adequate but did not seem to show much enthusiasm for what he was doing. He provided us with information but that was about it. He needs to liven up a little and make it exciting! Overall, the trip was fantastic! We had wonderful time and my kids did not want to come home! We are thinking about doing a Comfort Tour to Washington in the future. We have done New York and Boston so onto Washington we come! Thanks again to Pam and Ken for making this a trip to remember! Brent Stiles more
