1. The Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is perhaps one of the most famous historical icons in the United States. Located on Liberty Island, Lady Liberty stands with a torch in right hand held high over her head. 3. Haines Shoe House
Located in Hallam, Pennsylvania, you will discover one of the oddest, yet coolest structures. The Haines Shoe House is a home shaped like a work boot. Mahlon Haines, who happened to be a shoe salesman, built the house in 1948. As if that isn’t cool enough, there is also a doghouse shaped like a shoe next to the house.
4. Lower Falls of Yellowstone
Niagara Falls are not the only falls that deserve attention within the United States. You can find the Lower Falls of Yellowstone located just a little to the east of Canyon Village. The Lower Falls has the largest volume of any other waterfall in the Rocky Mountains. Make sure you snap a picture of this incredible sight if you visit Yellowstone National Park.
5. Eiffel Tower Replica
Paris Las Vegas is a well-known hotel and casino nestled along the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. Part of what makes the hotel so attractive is its 541-foot half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. Las Vegas is worth visiting just to snap a pic of the model tower. Of course, it is also a fun place to visit for games, activities, and live entertainment.
6. Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars
Along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you will find over 2,500 stars embedded into the sidewalks. The stars feature the names of well-known actors, musicians, fictional characters, and more. It is an amazing sight that is worth a pause so you can take a picture.
7. St. Louis Cathedral
New Orleans is home to the St. Louis Cathedral, which is the oldest cathedral in the United States. The site, which began as a church in 1718, grew to the rank of a cathedral in 1793. The structure was rebuilt in 1850 and expanded in size to the massive beauty it is today. This photo op is yet another great reason for you to add New Orleans as a stop on your list of travels.
8. Gettysburg National Battlefield
The Gettysburg National Battlefield is where the Battle of Gettysburg took place in 1863. The battlefield contains a variety of artifacts that interpret the landscape of the fight. Make sure you add this location to your list for the chance to capture a memorable photo.
9. Space Needle Tower
If you find yourself in Seattle, Washington, make sure you take a snapshot of the Space Needle Tower. The tower is a well-known landmark throughout the Pacific Northwest. Also, it is a combination of both an observation deck and a restaurant. Make yourself a reservation for a bite to eat and grab a pic from the observation deck, too.
10. Cloud Gate
Chicago is home to many fascinating architectural wonders and Cloud Gate is one of them. You can find the outdoor sculpture at Millennium Park in the Loop. Anish Kapoor created it between 2004 and 2006 and it soon became an instant attraction. The sculpture consists of seamless, polished steel plates and is 33 ft. x 42 ft. x 66 ft. in size.
